DAY IN THE LIFE
HOW DO I PREPARE
Documentary sessions take the stress out of “preparing”
The first step is a phone or video consult after booking to discuss what you’d like out of your session with me. It is always my goal to help you get what you are looking for out of our time together. I LOVE seeing your face and interacting before our time together.
On our scheduled day, I’ll arrive on your doorstep just like an old friend ready for whatever unfolds during your daily routine.
I know that sounds way too easy, but I promise you some of what you might think are the most mundane parts of your day become magic behind my lens.
There is not much for you to do but be yourselves.
Make breakfast in your slippers, wipe crumbs off your toddlers face not because he needs to “smile at the camera” but rather because that is your after breakfast routine.
Let them wear their favorite super hero shirt. Let them take a nap with their lovies. Drink your coffee. BE YOU.
At the end of the day these photos will represent exactly who you are in your own home at exactly this moment in time.
WHAT WILL I RECEIVE
My Day in the Life Sessions are different from a standard photography session you may be used to and that is a good thing!
Because we spend a majority of the day together depending on your package selection, I like to think you are gaining a new friend. I take great care in understanding that you are trusting me to come into your life and document it. That is huge and I am so grateful I get the opportunity to serve your family in this way.
You will receive not only my time and friendship, but also my understanding that life can be messy. It is my job to leave judgements at the door and show you just how beautiful you are.
Besides a shoulder to cry on or a laugh or two, you will receive:
Short Slideshow & Online Gallery
(included in your session fee)
Collections, Photobooks & Prints
Within 6–8 weeks after your session, you will receive an online gallery for viewing and ordering.
The session fee is required at booking and puts a guaranteed hold on your date.
Please take note that product prices are in addition to the session fees.
